A favourite of the powerful American wine critic Robert Parker and noted as “the” celebrity in Australia’s wine scene, his wines are some of the most sought after wines among international wine connoisseurs. The founder and winemaker of Torbreck wines from Barossa Valley, David Powell will be here on a special invitation to feature some of the vineyard’s rare vintages. Huvafen Fushi’s underground wine cellar, Vinum, will play host to two extraordinary events.
21st August, 2007 – Tasting of Torbreck – A dinner focusing on the tasting of Torbreck’s great names from Woodcutters to the iconic wines of Runrig and Les Amis.
22nd August, 2007 – A Vertical tasting of Torbreck “Runrig” from 1997, 98, 99 up until the current vintage. This will be a very rare opportunity to taste some of the great vintages of Runrig side by side. David Powell has only a few of these vintages in his private cellar and is bringing them with him exclusively for Huvafen Fushi!
